Deputy Warden Kevin Daly

Deputy Warden Kevin Daly has been a valued member of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office since 2003. Early in his career, he worked across various correctional posts, gaining extensive experience in housing units and booking operations.

In June 2009, Daly became part of the first Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) trained entirely by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, marking a significant milestone in his career. He remained an active member of SERT until 2018, including during his tenure as Sergeant, to which he was promoted in 2015.

After being promoted to Lieutenant in 2018, Daly took on leadership roles in both the Riverhead and Yaphank facilities. In May 2022, he was promoted to Captain and became Commanding Officer of the Facility Management Bureau in Yaphank, overseeing key operations like Recreation, Food Services, Jail Medical Units, and more.

In July 2024, Daly was promoted to Deputy Warden. He has received commendations for preventing an inmate suicide and for narcotics recovery as a SERT officer.

Before joining the Sheriff’s Office, Daly served in the U.S. Navy from 1995 to 1999 as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He also responded to the 9/11 attacks while in the NYPD Academy.

Dedicated to growth and leadership, Daly has completed over 1,000 hours of training, covering areas such as project management, risk management, and team building.
